But when you’re also coping with the rigors and demands of an unpredictable condition like type 1 diabetes, you can end up spending a lot more time focused on the fear and anxiety than on the joy and excitement of bring a little on into the world…
That’s where Sweet Start comes in! This is a two-part workshop, taking place on Saturday, September 28 + October 5, to get you off to a “sweet start” with your T1D pregnancy.
Rather than feeling overwhelmed and scared, you’ll get the knowledge, tools and community to make your pregnancy a wonderful experience to look back on!

Your Instructor:
Allison Nimlos is a Certified Diabetes Care & Education Specialist who has been teaching classes on type 1 diabetes and pregnancy for more than three years. She is the mother of two boys and has lived with type 1 diabetes for 30 years. Allison is the host of the weekly podcast, Sweet Expectations, all about navigating diabetes management with pre-existing diabetes.
